Welcome to the One Solution Studio Blog. We thought we would start taking our own advice we gave to our clients, friends and family and finally start our own blog. But we didn't want to start a blog just to fill it with jargon and bable that was simply posted to increase our search engine ranking. We wanted to start a blog to actually provide some real world advice. We hope you enjoy and we invite you to post your own questions or comments.

Website design and development comes in more flavors than you can imagine. I can remember when everything came in one flavor and it all started with good old Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML). That's when we were able to incorporate simple images and text into a hand-coded page - those were the simple vanilla days. What has followed from those single flavor simple days is nothing short of amazing; as the Internet has blossomed into a full blown virtual universe with endless possibilities and opportunities.

That's right open-source software rocks, well at least some of it does. If you type in open-source in Google you will be overwhelmed with the amount of open-source applications there are for just about every situation you can think of. From content management systems to shopping carts, open-source has it all. There is even an open-source version of Microsoft Office called OpenOffice.

Sometimes we run into clients who want to sit in the drivers seat when it comes to the actual design of their project. I'm not talking about the direction a client provides during the initial design review or during revisions when a client requests something be changed, but at our suggestion of how. I'm talking about when a client actually tell us where and how something should look.

For our very first blog entry I wanted to write about something that I think needs to be addressed in a big way. A blog article for business's and individuals who have yet to wake up about how important their brand image is and the role it plays on their success.
